Referral Process
We know you are a busy professional, so we don't require you to fill out any additional paperwork to submit a referral. Simply email or fax your assessment, and one of our therapists will follow up with you to confirm the client has scheduled.
Our Providers
We offer a variety of mental health providers to meet the needs of our clients. Our team includes licensed clinicians and graduate student interns. All of our providers offer sliding scale rates, which can be discussed during a free consultation with the therapist of their choice.
What should our client expect?
Paperwork:
New clients will receive an email from DocuSign, with 3 forms to complete safely and securely online: Our Consent to Treat, The Counselor Disclosure Statement, and Our Privacy Practices. No Assessments or Questionnaires- we'll get to all of that in our first session. Our paperwork takes typically less than 5 minutes to complete.
Communication:
All clients will automatically receive a confirmation text and email when a session is scheduled, plus a reminder email and text 24 hours before their session, so they have time to cancel without penalty (We typically charge for late cancels/no shows, but make accomodations at the counselor's discretion). Clients can cancel directly though the links in the confirmation/reminders, call/text our main phone number, or call/text their counselor whose contact information is included in the paperwork.
First Session:
Phone: The counselor will call at the scheduled time, from a blocked number (may appear "No Caller ID")
Video: The client will visit the doxy.me room of their counselor (for example, https://doxy.me/housecallcounseling) Each counselor has their own room, so the link will never change. Clients do not need to install any apps.
Office: Clients will meet at 7744 North Point Blvd Winston Salem
Our office is located inside Solutions for Independence; clients may wait in our shared lobby.
Home Based Sessions are for existing clients only.
Scheduling:
Typically, the counselor and client will agree on the next session and the counselor will enter it into their calendar. Clients with intermittent availability may self-schedule directly through our website at https://www.housecallcounseling.com/schedule/
Payment:
Clients provide a credit card to be kept on file via their DocuSign paperwork. They will be charged the Friday after their session. Flexible payment options are available, such as biweekly charges and payment requests.
