Ariel Ruben Health & Fitness Coach
Ariel Rubin, is a health and fitness coach in the North Carolina Triad area. Her specialty is helping others manage chronic pain, therapeutic functional fitness and Yoga. She helps clients develop fitness, nutrition and lifestyle habits so they may reach healthy lifestyle goals. Ari (rhymes with Safari ;-) is honored and ecstatic to join the House Call Counseling team to offer clients Yoga Therapy.
In 2012 She graduated with a BFA from DePaul University’s Performing Arts Theatre Conservatory. Then in 2013, she obtained her 200 hr. Yoga teacher certification with Yoga Alliance, and has since then specialized her teaching to restorative and therapeutic yoga. By spring 2019 she was certified as an Integrative Body Therapist with a specialty in Medical Qigong—Chinese Energetic Medicine based in the Five Element Theory. Then recently became a Certified Personal Trainer with National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Her expertise is in the realm of somatic therapy. She facilitates classes, workshops and 1:1 client sessions for them to process grief and emotional/physical/mental trauma through fitness. Yoga sessions are catered to the client based on their body’s and mental/emotional needs. In her classes she likes to preface: “I am not your teacher, healer or doctor. You’re the expert of your own body and lived experience. I am simply here to guide you through your healing transformation.”
