D. Marie Hines is a member of the American Counseling Association, The National Society of Leadership and Success and the North Carolina Counseling Association. She obtained both a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management in 2008, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management in 2011 from Stayer University. She received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023 from Capella University. Prior to starting her career path as a Mental Health Counselor, she worked as a Human Resources Manager for over 15 years in various industries.As a Mental Health Counselor, D. Marie specializes in working with adults in all stages of life experiencing anxiety, bipolar disorder I and II, co-dependency, depression, grief, identity issues, trauma/PTSD and self-esteem concerns. D. Marie works with clients examining patterns of behaviors using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy and Solution Focus Therapy, that focuses on helping individuals make better choices so that they can build a quality world complete with well connections and developing new perspectives. She also helps clients to visualize a better life, a better future and a better way of living. She works to empower and transform individuals for stainable mental health. D. Marie also uses Mindfulness approaches with guided meditation to focus on relaxation and sensing feelings in the moment. In her spare time D. Marie like to read, travel and spend quality time with her family.
