Renee C. Meir, MS (PhD in progress)
Renee Meier is excited to join the HouseCall Counseling team. Renee is a licensed School Counselor and has extensive experience working with students ages 5-20 and families with crisis management, trauma-informed care, suicide intervention and prevention, LGBTQIA+ youth and families, and academic and career support. Renee is currently a doctoral candidateworking on her Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision through Capella University. She earned her Master's in School Counseling from Capella University and her undergrad in psychology from Ashford University. Renee is passionate about supporting holistic growth in asafe, equitable, and inclusive environment. She believes everyone's story is unique and honors that eachperson processes at their own pace. Renee’s philosophy on supporting clients encompasses finding one's voice, learning how to use that voice, finding space and coping techniques to move through struggles and trauma, and finding one's joy and inner strength to navigate a healthy and holistic life. When Renee isn’t practicing, you can find her spending time with her teenagers and partner and always looking for a concert to attend.
